Morella: Just a one hour drive brings you to the monumental and atmospheric town of Morella which is surrounded by 2 km of superbly preserved walls with 6 gates and 16 defensive towers. You can see Morella from miles around as it lies right on top of a hill at an altitude of 1072 m.
Ebro Delta: 1½ hour away is this beautiful National Park, a wetland and rice-growing area with more than 330 species of resident and visiting birds. The best way to explore the area is by foot, on a bike, on horseback or by renting a boat. Or visit the excellent Information Centre MónNatura.
Gastronomie: Visit the Bodega Barbará Fores in Gandesa, buy prize-winning goat's cheese from La Fresneda or treat yourself to the local cured hams or the “extra virgen” olive oil which comes from the best olives in Spain.
